Our story begins in the fall of 2009 at Temple Sholom’s Temple Choir. While we both loved to sing, we each had ulterior motives for joining Temple Choir.

Andrew joined to spend more quality time with friends (shoutout Marquito!) and to improve his college application. Sophie was already the most popular girl at Temple Sholom (voted Teen Jew of the Year!) and was hoping to meet cute Jewish boys. Mission accomplished!

After a year of flirting during choir…sorry, Cantor Asa…and lots of back-and-forth on AIM (yes, it really was THAT long ago..), we went on our first date in June 2010. The date almost didn’t happen when Andrew accidentally fell asleep before plans were finalized.

But fortunately, Andrew woke up just in time to get Sophie and catch a late night movie. We saw Robin Hood but snuck out halfway through to share the most magical first kiss underneath the mall stairwell.

After that we had a really boring, uneventful relationship that brings us right to today! 😉

Andrew proposed to Sophie in April 2024, and we’re now living happily ever after. From the choir to the chuppah, we can’t wait to be each other’s last kiss. We love you all and are so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our story with you.
